New Project Character Design Old Guy

Haven't drawn in awhile, looking for a character design for a future project. An elderly fellow that felt cheated by someone else, a defenseless guy trying to defend himself. I think the one I numbered look good, which one you like?

My most response with #3, so I decided to add try out some more facial expression.
Several friends also mentioned that I need to do more, different ones, a lot more for variation and then pick the one that is best. Basically the one I pick is good, but want to see if I can generate more various character that can fit the description and not just stopping where I feel safe.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions on type or style or anything to improve?

Until next time, Wilster out.

Heh Heh Heh ...See! THAT'S!

Work for 8 hours, go home and animate till 4am, sleep for a few hours, then work....not enough time in the day when you're animating and trying to improve your skills. Had to redo the belt tassel because I didn't like how it was swinging, I like this way more now.

Need to invest in a large batch scanner cause my scanner crashed on me 3 times in the middle of the process and I had to start over.

Until next time.

Make this day YOURS!

Heh Heh Heh...See!

WIP piece I'm doing. Mouth will be add in later for so I won't have to deal with timing it out etc.

Not happy with it, but it'll have to do for now because I need to move on on this Scene. At least I'm be at the animation table!

Things been interesting for the last few days. An opportunity arrived and I did not seize it, well, wasn't prepared for it. I had been blindly going through what I've been comfortable with...and that's a definately not a good thing to do. I've learned that if you need to improve and grow and succeed, you HAVE to seize the day and make it yours. Take any obstacles you have and make it into an opportunity, and take it! Even if it's something you don't know or realized, do it, because in the end, it will prepare you for the future.

Until Next time,

CARPE DIEM!

Out of Crunch and Back into Other Stuff

So crunch time at work is finally whining down, which means more time out side of work to do my own things. Seems to me that things are finally setting down for me at this new place.

Got a new car a few months back and finally finalized my registration and paperwork, so now I can cruise around for awesome hiking grounds and new places to expereince.

Also going to start boxing again, haven't box in years, hope I can get back into it.
Got a new guitar and start learning how to play and going to learn a new language.

In addition, I've started to be interested in R/C Helicopters and it's going to be an amazing (and expensive) hobby.

Most importantly, I'm going to start doing animation again, bunch of 2d and 3d excercises and will have a complete 2d and 3d animation by the end of this year. Wish me luck and I'll keep ya'll posted. Until Next Time,
Peace Out

c'est la vie

A friend posted this this morning, seems somewhat inspirational:

When you have lost everything, you have nothing to lose, and when you have nothing to lose you have nothing to hold back..it's time to complete my unfinished business.

Sometimes you have to push through, and set your values straight. You cannot have it all, so focus on one thing that will lead you to the better path in the future.

So for pastime, I've been doing portraits, might consider starting commission work. Also need to start working on some animations.

Until next time: c'est la vie
